On Thursday, Jan. 2, the Red Hook Soccer Club posted photos on Facebook of an alleged act of vandalism that left their fields damaged, leaving them left to question who drove across their wet fields, forcing them to pay to repair the damage.

“One of the RHSC board members went to check the fields yesterday and discovered a wooden post cut down and tire ruts across the fields,” the post read. “Unfortunately some of the fields are damaged and will require additional funds and maintenance to repair.”

The incident in Red Hook comes on the heels of a similar incident in Millbrook, where a park suffered damage and also left behind tire marks on the grass. Late last year, vandalism was also reported on fields in LaGrange.

The investigation into the vandalism is ongoing. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Red Hook Police Department at (845) 758-0060.
